Quinceanera

The Quinceañera is the liturgical celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday, marking her passage from childhood to womanhood. The Quinceañera is not a sacrament, but rather an act of thanksgiving for life and faith, crowned by God’s blessing. It is an opportunity for the young girl to consolidate her commitment to her faith. Her parents, relatives, and friends ask God to pour his blessings and protection upon her as she matures into a young woman.

In order to have a Quinceañera celebration, the young woman must have recieved the Sacrament of Confirmation. Our Parish Office staff is happy to assist you with information on scheduling, agreements, and availability. When planning your liturgy, remember that Quinceañeras are not scheduled during Lent, Advent, or other times when the church may not be available. Please do not schedule any outside vendors for your celebration before you confirm your date with the Parish Office.
